This policy explains what information On.Chained Ltd ("On.Chained", "we", "us"), registered in Kowloon, Hong Kong, collects through the onchained.io website ("the Site") and how we use it.

1. What we collect

The Site collects the minimum needed to respond to you:

Search input — text you type into the asset eligibility search is processed in your browser to match it against our asset classes. It is not stored on our servers or sent to any third party as part of that matching.
Contact information — if you email us or otherwise reach out (for example via the "Speak to an expert" link), we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your email address and message content.
Basic server logs — like most websites, our hosting provider logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and reliability. We do not use this to build an advertising profile of you.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels on the Site.

2. Live valuation requests

When you search an asset class that has a live valuation source, your browser may send a request to a valuation service (for art and collectible classes) or read a locally bundled market data snapshot (for commodities and metals). The art valuation request contains only a representative description of the asset class you selected — never personal information or your search text verbatim — and is used solely to compute an indicative figure to display back to you.

3. How we use information

To respond to enquiries sent to us directly.
To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
To comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

Email correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain business records, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and then rotated out.
